H.I.T Frequency

Android Privacy Policy

Public Google Play Android application

Effective date:

1. Scope and everyday use

This notice covers the public Google Play Android application H.I.T Frequency. Android works without an H.I.T Frequency account, email address or password. Normal use is local first and works offline. The website has separate accounts and services covered by the Web Privacy Policy.

2. Personal content stays on your device

Your habits, ratings, tasks, challenges, individual journals, general link journals, sleep records, goals, rewards, identity and self improvement information, progress and history are stored on your Android device. Links between habits, group sort preferences, custom ordering, settings and local Data Vault saves also remain there. H.I.T Frequency does not normally receive or store this content on its servers and cannot normally read, remotely recover or provide a server copy of it. Linking habits does not share their journals with one another or with other people.

3. Local storage and your control

The app stores records and Data Vault snapshots in its private browser database, preferences in local storage and selected custom media in a local media database. Android keeps reminder schedules and entitlement information in app storage. These are not a cloud backup. Clearing app data, uninstalling, losing or damaging your phone can lose local content. Use Data Vault and export options before making changes. An exported file is under your control; the location or service you choose may store or share it under its own terms. Restoring a Google Play subscription restores entitlement, not your journals or habits.

4. Typed journals and device permissions

Android journals accept typed text only. The app does not request microphone permission, record journal audio or send journal recordings for transcription. Existing audio information in an imported save is preserved as data but Android does not offer journal recording or voice playback. Custom audio or video chosen for habit feedback is a separate local media feature. Notifications and exact alarm access support reminders you configure. Reminder names may appear on your lock screen according to Android settings. The optional Open alarm action sends your chosen title and time to your Clock app. You control these permissions in Android settings.

5. Google Play purchases and verification

Purchasing Pro is optional. Google Play processes checkout under your Play account. For secure purchase verification and restoration, the app sends a purchase token, a request identifier, the verification action and a Play Integrity token over HTTPS to H.I.T Frequency. The verification service asks Google for the subscription product, base plan, purchase status, expiry and acknowledgement information. It retains a token hash and limited subscription, verification and fraud prevention records. It does not receive your Google password or full payment card number. Journal text, habits, sleep records, challenges, goals, progress and local saves are not included in verification requests. Google handles payment and account information under its own policies.

6. Integrity and temporary offline Pro access

Play Integrity checks app identity, version, signing certificate, Play licensing and device integrity to protect purchases. Google processes the technical information needed for these checks. Our service receives verification results. The device stores a signed entitlement and verification timing so previously verified Pro can continue temporarily offline, within its subscription expiry and revalidation limit. Review Access is a separate device entitlement for authorized review; it creates no purchase or subscription.

7. Connections, support and providers

An internet connection is needed for purchases, restoration and verification. If you open external legal or support links, the destination and its hosting providers receive normal connection information such as your IP address, browser information and requested address. Verification infrastructure also handles normal network information. If you contact support, H.I.T Frequency receives the contact details and content you choose to send. Do not send private journals or sensitive information unless necessary for your request. Hosting, payment and support providers may process this limited information in other countries with the protections required by applicable law. No advertising tracker or sale of personal app content is part of this Android release.

8. Retention and rights

Local content remains until you delete it, replace it through an intentional restore, or remove app data. Copies you export require separate deletion. H.I.T Frequency retains limited billing, fraud prevention and support records for subscription administration, resolving disputes and applicable legal duties; it does not maintain a remotely recoverable copy of your local content. Ask the privacy contact about information actually held by H.I.T Frequency, including access, correction, deletion, objection or other rights under applicable law. We may need limited proof that the records concern you and may retain information the law requires. Deleting local data does not cancel a Google Play subscription; manage that through Google Play.

9. Teen users and purpose

The Android app is intended for people aged 13 and older, including ages 13 to 15 and 16 to 17. It does not ask for a date of birth or create a remote account for normal use. If the law where you live requires a parent or legally authorized person to approve a purchase or processing of your information, obtain that approval before using that service. The app is not directed to children under 13. H.I.T Frequency is a habit, productivity, journal and goal tool, not medical advice, diagnosis, therapy or treatment.

10. Security and changes

App private storage and Android protections help protect local information, but no device or system is completely secure. Protect your device and exported files. If practices change, this notice will be updated with a new date and any legally required notice or consent. You may complain to your local privacy regulator or South Africa’s Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
